Getting Started
System Requirements
To get started with LearningLibrary, you will need the following:
- A computer with internet access and a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
- The latest version of Apple Quicktime and Adobe Shockwave, Flash, & Reader software.
Although your PC may have these plug-ins pre-installed, you need the latest versions. If you do not have the latest versions of Shockwave and Flash, you will be prompted to upgrade when you begin your first lesson at the LearningLibrary.
Note: It is recommended that you upgrade Shockwave, Flash, and Reader BEFORE logging into LearningLibrary. If you would like, you can upgrade these plug-ins now. - A computer with speakers or headphones (all our IBM laptops and
Dell desktops
have internal speakers - IBM desktops do NOT have internal speakers)
If your computer does not have speakers or headphones, you will need to contact the Help Desk to request either headphones or speakers in order to use LearningLibrary. - Your PC's volume control must be adjusted high enough to allow you to hear the narrator's voice. When you log into the LearningLibrary website for the first time, you will find directions on the main Welcome page to help you adjust your Volume Control. Feel free to adjust your Volume Control now.
- Your PC's Screen Resolution must be adjusted to 800 x 600. You can adjust your Screen Resolution now.
